Spring doorstop

We made a springy doorstop out of Plastimake. Plastimake is slightly flexible and really tough so it works perfectly for projects like this.

It was a quick and easy project, here's how you can make one too:

  1. Form a 1cm wide Plastimake rod.
  2. Wrap it around a jar in a spiral pattern. We used a small spice jar.
  3. Form two Plastimake discs by creating spheres and then squashing them against a flat surface.
  4. Join one disc onto each end of your spring by reheating the surfaces of both pieces and pressing them together.
  5. We used a squirt of hot glue to semi-permanently attach our new door stop onto the tiled wall.

That's all there is to it!
